What Plant Room Electrical Work Can We Deliver?

Do You Need a Full Plant Room Rewire?

Electrical fit-outs, replacement wiring and upgrades for commercial plant rooms and boiler houses. We review existing circuits, proposed loads and the mechanical programme so retained services and new plant can be planned together.

How Do We Wire Boilers, Calorifiers and Pump Sets?

Supplies, local isolation and associated wiring for commercial boilers, calorifier equipment, circulating pumps and ventilation plant. Connections are planned against the equipment information and coordinated with the heating engineer or mechanical contractor.

What Containment and Cable Routes Are Included?

Cable tray, ladder, trunking, conduit and SWA cabling where appropriate to the design and environment. Routes, supports, segregation, access and local isolator drops are considered together for a robust, serviceable installation.

Can We Provide Control Panel Power Supplies?

Dedicated control panel supplies, distribution alterations and plant connections, with interfaces agreed against the panel design. Specialist field cabling and terminations can be coordinated through our BMS control wiring service.

How Do We Coordinate with Your Mechanical Contractor?

A plant room rewire needs to fit the heating and ventilation works. We agree the plant schedule, load information, shutdown sequence and handover responsibilities with the project team.

What Helps Us Plan the Installation?
InformationWhy it matters
Plant schedule & drawingsBoiler, pump and calorifier equipment details; electrical loads and retained services.
Control panel designSupply requirements, circuit references, interlocks and responsibilities for control signals.
Access & shutdown windowsOccupied areas, heating or hot-water continuity, site permits and any temporary arrangements.
Existing recordsDistribution schedules, inspection reports and cable-route information.

How Do We Plan Safety, Testing and Handover?

How Is the Work Made Safe?

Work is planned around secure isolation, site permits and the risks associated with electrical and mechanical plant. Other energy sources and any stored energy are coordinated with the responsible specialists. We agree shutdowns and re-energisation with the site team.

Which Standards Apply?

Electrical installation and verification are carried out to the applicable BS 7671 requirements, alongside equipment instructions and site safety arrangements. Safe working is planned in line with the Electricity at Work Regulations; industrial settings need site-specific risk assessment.

What Will You Receive?

Relevant electrical certification, circuit identification and test results for the completed work. Updated schedules, marked-up drawings and joint handover checks are included where agreed. Mechanical operation, burner setup and controls programming remain with the appointed specialists.

What Should You Know before Booking?

Can You Rewire an Existing Boiler House While the Building Is Occupied?

We can discuss phased work around occupancy and the mechanical programme. Shutdowns, retained services and any temporary arrangements must be planned with the site team; uninterrupted heating or hot water cannot be assumed.

Can You Work as an Electrical Subcontractor to a Mechanical Firm?

Yes. We can take on the agreed plant room electrical installation scope, coordinating drawings, supplies, containment and plant connections with your mechanical and controls partners.

Does the Work Include BMS Programming or Boiler Commissioning?

These are separate specialist responsibilities unless specifically included and confirmed. Our electrical scope covers the agreed supplies, wiring, testing and support with coordinated functional checks.

What Should You Send for a Plant Room Enquiry?

Send your site postcode, plant schedule, drawings and proposed programme. Photos, supply information and any operating constraints help us review the job.
